SDSN<\/em> – a global network of academic institutions for the SDGs<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) operates under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General, mobilizing the world\u2019s largest knowledge network to drive action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.<\/p>\n

Established in 2012 by the former UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, and world-renowned economist and professor, Jeffrey Sachs, the SDSN promotes integrated approaches to sustainable development through education, research, policy analysis, and global cooperation.<\/p>\n

The SDSN works at the intersection of science, policy, and development practice, maximizing SDG achievements across global, regional, national, and local levels. In partnership with UN agencies, multilateral financing institutions, governments, academia, civil society, and the private sector, the SDSN develops science-based pathways for SDG implementation, promotes independent monitoring and accountability for sustainable development progress, identifies persisting gaps and priorities through feedback loops to adapt long-term SDG strategies, and facilitates peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices.<\/p>\n

SDSN Bulgaria<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

SDSN Bulgaria aims to establish and develop the leading SDG platform in Bulgaria for universities, research institutes, companies, government, and local municipality bodies, as well as organizations of civil society, enabling all members and partners to act for the sustainable future and to have an impact on society at large.<\/p>\n

SDSN Networks<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

The SDSN mobilizes the world\u2019s leading academic and research institutes and leverages their strengths to help promote practical solutions to sustainable development challenges and realize the SDGs and the Paris Agreement. Spanning six continents, the SDSN network comprises over 2,000 member institutions, primarily universities, coordinated by 59 National and Regional Networks.<\/p>\n

The SDSN\u2019s national and regional networks focus on distinct projects and priorities in line with their local contexts and challenges. Our Networks translate the latest expertise in sustainable development into action by: (1) Promoting high-quality education and research collaboration for sustainable development; (2) Localizing and mobilizing support for the SDGs, including supporting governments in understanding and addressing the challenges of sustainable development; and (3) Vetting and launching solution initiatives.<\/p>\n
